About the Singapore Red Data Book

Singapore boasts a rich biodiversity. The latest edition of the Singapore Red Data Book is the 3rd edition that was published in 2024. It records information such as the scientific and common names, and national conservation status of algae, plant, fungi and animal species."

Singapore's algae, plants, fungi and animals were assessed and assigned their national conservation status by biodiversity specialists from academia, civil society, and government. These assessments are included as "Red Lists" in the Singapore Red Data Book.
