What to look out for

Highlights at Bukit Batok Nature Park include:

  • Plants: Look out for orchids, fruit trees, and native forest trees that have been replanted as part of our reforestation efforts.
  • Animals: The park is known to be a birdwatcher's haven. You can also spot long-tailed macaques, fruit bats, monitor lizards and carpenter bees.
  • World War II memorial site: The park was once home to Synonan Chureito, a memorial built by the Japanese to commemorate those who died during World War II. It has since been destroyed, but you can learn more about it from the war memorial plaque near the radio transmission tower.
  • Scenic views of the quarry: Get your cameras ready and follow the trail to find vantage points offering you stunning views of the cliffs and water of the quarry.
