Step into a charming corner of Singapore with sandy beaches and coastal forests in their rustic, preserved glory. Take an easy hike here and connect with nature in any of the these ways:

Self-guided walk

Follow our recommended 3.6km walking route for a thorough exploration of the island.

Highlights include:

  • You can explore different habitats on a single island, including coastal forests, grasslands, mangroves, and casuarina woodlands. There are also 5 different beach areas – find out more about what you can look out for in each area .
  • At the West Promenade, look out over the waters and spot Pulau Ubin and Malaysia's Pasir Gudang.
  • Make a stop at the Casuarina Exploratory play area and have moments of fun and adventure on the structures made of upcycled timber.
  • Be on the lookout for interesting birds, butterflies and unique flora and fauna not commonly found in other parts of our city. Some of these plants have unique growing requirements or are locally extinct and were replanted on Coney Island.

Guided tour: Ecolife Sessions

Our volunteers conduct 2-hour guided tours on selected Saturday mornings in March, June, September and November. You will learn about the diverse biodiversity and interesting history of the park from our knowledgeable volunteer guides.
