Dairy Farm Nature Park

Once home to a dairy farm, this nature park is now filled with lush biodiversity, hiking and biking trails, as well as an education centre.
Note: This park is protected as part of the Central Nature Park Network. Find out more about nature reserves and parks.

Wheelchair accessible only from Carpark B to Wallace Education Centre
  • Pets are not allowed on Wallace Trail in order to protect the wildlife. Pets on leashes are only allowed from Carpark A to Singapore Quarry.
  • Do apply for a permit at least 1 month in advance if you are organising group activities involving more than 30 persons.

Wallace Education Centre
Wallace Education Centre

Dedicated to Alfred Russel Wallace, a contemporary of Charles Darwin, the Centre offers interactive exhibits on nature for all ages. (Closed for maintenance from 13 Dec 24 to 6 Jan 25)

Dairy Farm Quarry
Dairy Farm Quarry

Unlike other quarries in the area, Dairy Farm Quarry is filled with earth. You can admire its gorgeous rock cliffs.

Singapore Quarry
Singapore Quarry

One of 2 quarries in the park, this is now a scenic lake where you can spot dragonflies and birds such as Stork-billed Kingfishers. (Open: 8am to 6.30pm daily)

Fruit trees
Fruit trees

Look out for the rambutan, jackfruit and mango trees. These were planted during Singapore's kampung days, and are still thriving now!

Chocolate Pansy
Chocolate Pansy

Chocolate-coloured with orange-brown upper wings and darker brown eyespots, this species can be found sunbathing with its wings wide open during sunny weather.

Birds

Keep your eyes peeled for the Oriental Magpie Robin and Crimson Sunbird, both of which can be easily identified by their striking looks.

Long-tailed Macaque

These monkeys are highly intelligent and can use different stone tools while foraging. They play a crucial role in dispersing seeds at our nature reserves.
