Public Gallery at the Marine Park Outreach and Education Centre

About the public gallery

The public gallery at St John's Island complements outreach programmes at the Marine Park through a collection of interactive displays on Singapore's rich marine biodiversity.

Public gallery highlights

    • A mangrove mesocosm (a closed environment that mirrors natural conditions)
      • Likely one of the first in the region, this 5m-long mesocosm allows you to observe the mangrove ecosystem. Suitable for researchers and schools to conduct simple experiments.
      • Aquariums
        • Admire and learn about corals and reef organisms.

A seminar room and teaching lab are also available for booking by schools and community groups.

The outdoor aquarium is temporarily closed for system refresh.

      Note

Groups larger than 20 that are planning to visit the public gallery have to email to inform us at least 2 weeks in advance.

How to get to the gallery

You will need to purchase your own ferry ticket at Marina South Pier and take the ferry to St John's Island. The gallery is a 10-minute walk from the jetty.
