Request plant health laboratories and advisory services

We provide professional analytical and diagnostic services for the identification of plant pests, and nutritional problems for plants in Singapore. We also provide laboratory services to support import checks and phytosanitary certifications for exports.

To ensure the highest quality standards, the Plant Health Laboratories and Advisory Services (PHLA) is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited. We provide diagnostic support with expertise in the following areas:

Entomology and nematology
  • Provide identification of insects and nematodes and recommendations for pest management
  • Provide pest freedom of plants under phytosanitary certification for export or re-export.
Soil science
  • Conduct physical and chemical tests on soil, soil mixes and sand
  • Provide recommendations on soil management
Phytopathology
  • Provide identification of casual agents for plant diseases and recommendations for pest management
  • Provide disease freedom of plants and plant products under phytosanitary certification for export and re-export.
