About the Casuarina Exploratory

Coney Island Park offers many play and nature exploration opportunities.

For a spacious open area to stop, rest and play at, head over to the Casuarina Exploratory nature play area, which is surrounded by tall Casuarina trees.

What to expect

The young ones can get creative coming up with pretend play scenarios as they keep their balance while walking across the wooden bridge, jump onto each stepping stone and climb over the logs.

The wooden structures and seats are constructed using fallen Casuarina trees, and the sand on the ground was recycled from the nearby beach. Besides being environmentally friendly, these materials give the area a rustic feel.

The Casuarina Exploratory is near the park's West entrance.
