Part of the Central Nature Park Network, Thomson Nature Park has several trails that will take you deep into this secondary forest where you can learn about village life in the 1930s as well as enjoy the healing act of forest bathing.

This is the longest trail in the park and will take you to a total of 9 sites that were once part of the Hainan Village. The conserved ruins showcase building foundations, walls, wells, staircases and the old road network. The terrain is relatively easy with a few gentle inclines.
This scenic route features the park’s greenery and freshwater habitat with a walk that will take you past lots of shrubs, ferns and trees and under a natural bower. Parts of the trail are uneven due to rocky paths or overgrown roots. This trail intersects with the Ruins & Figs Trail along multiple points.
The village in the park was well-known for its sweet and juicy rambutans. This short, standalone trek circles around the site of a rambutan plantation that was cultivated in the 1930s.
This short boardwalk trail is the entrance to Thomson Nature Park and has a small lookout deck and a small ruin. This path is named for the Raffles’ Banded Langur.
Thomson Nature Park is a key conservation site for this critically endangered primate. Elusive by nature and rare in number, see if you can spot it by looking out for its distinct black-and-white face.
Go on a self-guided walk through the trails to immerse yourself in nature and be captivated by the nature park’s rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.
The many kampung remnants found along the trails offer a glimpse into the past and serve as a vivid reminder of kampung life.
