About our parks, nature reserves and park connectors

Learn more about our thriving green spaces in Singapore and the networks of ecological corridors that link them to bring plants, wildlife and people together.

Singapore is one of the greenest cities in the world. After 6 decades of greening efforts, we now have a thriving network of green spaces where nature is entwined into our everyday lives.

About parks and the Park Connector Network

There are currently over 400 parks as well as 4 nature reserves under our care. To bring nature even closer to everyone, we are intensifying our efforts to maintain and enhance these green spaces.

The Park Connector Network (PCN) is a network of linear green corridors that links major parks and nature areas across the island. There are currently more than 30km of trails that provide an abundance of recreational green activities while enhancing ecological connectivity between natural habitats.

As part of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 to transform Singapore into a City in Nature, we aim to manage more than 300 hectares of gardens and parks in Singapore by 2026.

We also plan to have 500km of park connectors so that every household in Singapore will be within a 10-minute walk from a park by 2023.
